Joanna Davidovich was born in Orange Park Florida into a family of gymnastically-oriented Ukrainians. A healthy appetite for Looney Tunes, Animaniacs, the Little Mermaid and a penchant for drawing flamingos with sunglasses spawned her life-long ambition to work in the animation industry. She earned her BFA in Animation from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2005, graduating as class salutatorian. She then prompty moved to Atlanta and began work as an freelance animator and character designer, notably for the multi-award winning studio Primal Screen. Her student film "Juxtaposer" (2005) played in over sixty film festivals worldwide, and her animated titles for the BBC3 sketch comedy show "Touch Me I'm Karen Taylor" (2007) won distinction at the ASIFA-East Animation Festival. Her "Laughing Orangutans" (2008) cartoons can be seen on PBS's Electric Company.
